CLT Center stems directly from our experience managing CLT home production
The Manufacturing Stage
It all started in 2017 with the acquisition of the Austrian manufacturer, Wigo Haus. This gave us access to their technology and a vast archive of over 2,000 completed projects spanning 20 years.
However, in managing the entire production cycle—from timber sourcing to finished modules—our team realized that the biggest losses of time and money weren’t happening on the factory floor, but in design and management. Each project required re-engineering connections and plans, making the process slow and expensive.
We concluded that the existing model of large, integrated factories makes CLT technology too costly, slow, and unprofitable for both mass-market and custom home building.

In 2023, the team shifted its focus. We divested from factory ownership to concentrate on solving the core problem: process inefficiency.
This led us to a new solution built on diversification and an ecosystem model. We developed a distributed system where processes are decoupled: CLT panel lamination happens at dedicated timber processing facilities, while the CNC-cutting of home kits is done closer to the job site.
This approach makes production flexible, scalable, and more cost-effective. All of these distributed hubs are united within a single digital ecosystem: CLT.Center.

Technological Foundation
The foundation of our ecosystem is BIM (Building Information Modeling) and a workflow centered on integrated data platforms. This approach reduces design and management time by up to 80% by providing real-time cost estimates, logistics, and construction schedules.

In 2024, our traditional search for investors proved unsuccessful, largely due to a misunderstanding of our business model and a focus on short-term gains from potential backers.
